As of 1 November 2026 there is no official figure for Spain’s minimum living income in 2027. The guaranteed income has no uprating of its own: Law 19/2021 ties it to the non-contributory pension, so the IMV rises by whatever that pension rises. The non-contributory pension in turn is set each year in the State Budget Act or, when there is no new budget, in an uprating royal decree or decree-law. Neither has been published for 2027, so the 2026 figures still apply: €733.60 a month for a single person and €8,803.20 a year of non-contributory pension. In 2026 the rise was 11.4%, but it came through a February decree after the December one was rejected. This page simulates the scale with the percentage you enter and will be updated with the real figure as soon as it appears in the Official State Gazette. Until then, any 2027 figure you see published is an estimate.
How the rise is decided
Article 13.2 of Law 19/2021 defines a single person’s guaranteed income as one hundred per cent of the yearly non-contributory pension divided by twelve. There is no separate index. The non-contributory pension is uprated every year under the General Social Security Act by the amount the Budget Act sets. When there is no new budget, as has been the case with the budget rolled over since 2023, the rise comes by decree.
The road was bumpy in 2026. A December 2025 decree-law raised pensions, but Congress did not ratify it and it lapsed. The government passed Royal Decree-law 3/2026 on 3 February, backdated to 1 January, and Congress ratified it on 26 February. The non-contributory pension rose by 11.4%, according to the government statement, to €8,803.20 a year, and the IMV with it.
Simulate 2027 with your own assumption
The calculator above starts from a 0% rise, that is, the figures in force, because there is no other official number. If you enter a percentage, the whole scale is recalculated with it: at 3%, for instance, the single amount would go from €733.60 to €755.61. That is not our forecast, just arithmetic. Rises in recent years have varied a great deal, and the 2026 one was far above the previous year’s inflation.

What to do in the meantime
Nothing that depends on the rise. January 2027’s IMV will be paid at the current amount and adjusted if the rule arrives backdated. What does change in January is the reference year for income: the 2027 review will look at what your household earned in 2026. If your 2026 income went up because of a job, the employment incentive already shields part of the rise. To see your own amount, use the amounts table with the 2026 figures, which are the ones that apply today.
